Key applications of fluorspar
Acidspar
The primary fluorspar application is Acidspar (85–90% of U.S. consumption), which is used to produce hydrofluoric acid (HF) for downstream use in lithium-ion batteries, refrigerants, fluoropolymers, uranium enrichment and aluminum smelting.


Metspar
Metspar is the high-volume industrial grade of fluorspar (10–15% of U.S. consumption) used as a flux in steel and aluminum, and in ceramics, glass, and cement production.


A market in deficit
The Global Market
Global consumption of fluorspar in 2025 was 8.5m tons. Projected demand is 13m - 17m metric tons by 2035, with acidspar accounting for the majority of growth.
The greatest demand increase will be in high-growth sectors like batteries, semiconductors and fluorochemicals, alongside the global clean energy transition.

The global fluorspar market is predicted to grow at the CAGR 4.6%.
The U.S. Market
In 2025, the USA imported c.418K tons of fluorspar, primarily from Mexico. As of September 2026, the USA remains 100% import reliant.
The U.S. Department of Energy has estimated that lithium-ion batteries (mainly for EVs) could account for roughly 22% of total fluorspar demand by 2035.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. semiconductor manufacturing is highly exposed to potential supply disruptions of fluorine chemicals, underpinning the need for secure supplies of high-purity hydrofluoric acid and fluorogases.

Where ARES is now
✓ Lost Sheep Mine - We are systematically mining fluorspar and stockpiling fluorspar at surface, ready for processing.
✓ Lumps Plant - undergoing commissioning, with ramp up production underway.
✓ Flotation Plant - under construction. Completion expected early 2027.

What's next for ARES?
✓ First Revenues - Our very first product will be available for sale to our pre-arranged customers in September 2026.
✓ NASDAQ Uplisting - We have identified an uplisting vehicle in the form of an American Depositry Receipt (ADR). Uplisting to the NASDAQ is expected by 30th September 2026.
✓ New Mining Targets - We are developing the next targets and plan to install further mine installations so we can continue to mine across the Spor Mountain Range.
✓ Complete Plant Construction - Our two-plant strategy is key to achieving consistently high ROI. The lumps plant is currently commisioning and completion is due for the flotation plant in early 2027.
✓ Gallium & Germanium - We will use our fluorspar mining & manufacturing expertise to extract the 2 additional rare earths on-site.

An Operational Company
ARES holds 100% interest in our flagship mine, the Lost Sheep Mine, along with 302 claims covering an area of 5,765 acres across the Spor Mountain Range in Western Utah. It owns a 50-acre industrial site in the nearby town of Delta. The site is the location the USA's first Fluorspar Lumps Plant, which is now operating. It is also the location for what will be the USA's first Fluorspar Flotation Plant, now under construction. The site also provides warehousing for a significant amount of company-owned plant equipment and heavy machinery.

Significant Funding to Production
We are currently funded through Federal & State government, private and institutional investment, as well as our valued shareholders. Their investment directly enables exploration, production and supply of fluorspar.
ARES' most notable funding:

In January 2026, ARES was awarded a $168.9 million (up to $250 million) contract by the U.S. Department of Defense, to support the rebuilding of U.S. strategic fluorspar stockpiles. The DoD is paying a premium for acidspar product from ARES, locked in at avg. $600/MT.

The U.S. Department of Energy committed US$3.4 billion to expand domestic uranium production and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers. Ares was selected as a subcontractor in the program, with task orders starting at a minimum of US$2 million, to supply high-grade fluorspar for the domestic nuclear fuel supply chain.

ARES has a MOU with CREMER ERZKONTOR North America to market and sell its initial metspar production of approximately 50,000 ton per year for five years.Metspar prices typically exceed US$500 per ton, representing a potential gross product value of US$25 million+ annually, and providing ARES with an established route to market.

Ares has secured over US$21 million in Utah State-backed financing to support the development of its Lost Sheep Fluorspar Project.
